It was great to get outdoors and spend time with the kids Sunday. They were looking very rugged when Kyra realized that I was documenting the day. Within 30 minutes she had the kids bathed and in their Easter outfits. Hmmm, guess she was trying to tell me something. I obliged by taking a series of less-casual shots. It took Ethan a while to warm-up his modeling skills.

As many of my clients know, I was in Las Vegas March 26-30 attending the annual DWF conference and WPPI trade show. What a week! I had a chance to catch up with several colleagues and key vendors.

During the trade show, I met with a Canon representative to preview the new 1D Mark-III DSLR (pictured below) – it really is lighter than the Mark-II. I look forward to evaluating this new model more closely when it starts shipping later this spring. It might have a place in my camera bag if real-world performance matches the marketing hype.

The weather cleared up in time for Yoshie and Nick’s wedding at the Ohio State University Faculty Club in Columbus. Even if the rain had returned, Yoshie was determined to capture some photographs outdoors. Who could blame her? The grounds near Mirror Lake are gorgeous -- and so is this great couple!
